I was born and grew up in Bournemouth, on the South coast. After reading Music and English at Leicester, I went on to train as a librarian and found work in London – in fact my first job was on the opposite side of Marylebone Road! After postgraduate study and a number of other library positions, I took a sideways step into publishing and worked as Editorial Manager for Gramophone Publications Ltd.
A career break followed, whilst I concentrated on raising my family, and I then took on a part-time post as Parish Administrator at my own church in 2001. There I remained, until almost accidentally returning to full-time work as Administrator of the Healing and Counselling Centre in 2014 and then as Practice Manager.
I live in Hertfordshire and love being close to both the city and the countryside. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, baking, films, gardening and walking.
