What is Spiritual Accompaniment?

Spiritual Accompaniment or direction is about meeting — with a spiritual director, accompanier or guide — to share your thoughts and reflections about your faith and your life in the light of that. Some people experience spiritual direction while on times of retreat and others choose to meet with a spiritual director regularly throughout the year. If so you will usually meet with your spiritual director every 6—8 weeks for about an hour.

Who is Spiritual Accompaniment for?

Spiritual direction is open to anyone wishing to explore their faith journey. There are no expectations or special requirements, just an interest in sharing your story with another person. Directors usually now ask for a donation for their time and will suggest a suitable fee. Concessions are usually made for unwaged.

The Supervision of Spiritual Directors

Spiritual directors usually receive regular supervision and we provide supervision here. If you are someone who accompanies others in this ministry and would like to arrange for some supervision please contact the office.
