The Rector of St Marylebone seeks an experienced and suitably qualified priest-colleague to join the large lay and ordained team at St Marylebone Parish Church.

Working alongside the Rector, the HCC Administrator and Clinical Director, the new Director will oversee the work of St Marylebone’s internationally-respected Healing and Counselling Centre and will assist in providing pastoral care to the parish church’s large congregation.

The successful applicant will have considerable pastoral experience, a working knowledge of psychotherapeutic/counselling work and a strategic grasp of mental health issues, as well as the capacity to be an able communicator and ambassador for the work of the HCC. The new Director will extend the work of the HCC, work alongside The Guild of Health & St Raphael, The Westminster Christian Mental Health Forum and a wide network of mental health providers in London and throughout the United Kingdom, whilst being firmly rooted in the daily worshipping life of the parish church.

St Marylebone Parish Church is a thriving and hugely diverse gathered Christian community at the heart of central London with long- established links to many academic and medical institutions. Music, work with children and their families, as well as providing chaplaincy to local universities and the parish’s outstanding secondary school and growing Special school are important aspects our mission and ministry.

Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate significant pastoral experience and have a proven record of exemplary pastoral ministry and community engagement.
